Red Cherry Eyelashes #523

Hey guys! So I have finally hopped on the bandwagon and bought myself my first pair of false eyelashes. Is it weird that I was incredibly intimidated to put these on? Thinking of all possible worst scenarios that could happen like getting glue in my eye, or them falling off while talking to someone. It just made me nervous. But I did it, and I made sure I got the best in the business.

I always see a lot of great things about Red Cherry lashes. 100% human hair, very affordable, and they have sooooo many to choose from. I got the #523 in black. It did not come with glue, but that’s ok bc I wanted to get the Duo lash glue. I recommend buying this instead of using the glue they give you.

So, I’ve attached some before and after pics! I hoped of helped you in decided the lashes that you want, or to try Red Cherry lashes!
PS: it wasn’t that bad putting them on for the first time. Although, they are a bit uneven haha. Practice makes perfect!

Gelatin Pore Strips/Face Mask

Hey Beauties! So, recently I have discovered an affordable option that is very similar to Biore Strips. Biore strips are very popular to get rid of those pesky blackheads, and all the other crud clogging our pores. If you have ever purchased Biore strips before, you will know that they can get a little pricey. So, I have a very affordable option that will work just as good!

You can use this method as a whole face mask, or use it in a localized area (nose, chin etc) to create a pore strip. This is going to be a peel off mask. But remember, beauty is pain!

gelatin mask1

Ingredients for a Full Face Mask:

1 Tablespoon (1 packet) Unflavored Gelatin

1 1/2 Tablespoon Milk

**Since unflavored gelatin comes in packages of 1 Tablespoon, it is ideal for a face mask. But if you only want to treat a small area, just half the recipe. If you use the recipe above for a pore strip, you will have a TON left over.

Ingredients for a Pore Strip:

1/2 Tablespoon (half a packet) Unflavored Gelatin

3/4 Tablespoon Milk

To make it, all you have to do is just mix those two ingredients together, so that it looks like this:

gelatin mask2

Then pop it in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds. When it comes out, stir it good so it can cool down and won’t burn your face. But hurry and apply it once it has cooled because it hardens to a silicone texture very quickly!

Now time to put it on our face! CAUTION- It does stink a little haha

gelatin mask3

If you applied a thin layer, leave on for about 10 minutes. If its a thicker layer, 20 minutes should work. Just make sure it is dried all the way. Unless it won’t work.

It will hurt a little! But afterwards, we can do what girls do and grossly study all the stuff we just pulled out of our skin :). I hope this has helped you. Check out the link below for my YouTube video associated with this blog post.

Thanks everyone!!

Homemade Crayon Lipstick

Hey everyone! So I made these lipsticks a while back, but I wanted to try them out for a little bit before I made a review about them. So there is only two ingredients to make these lipsticks! The only thing is, this process is purely Trial and Error to get the finish of lipstick that you want. I wanted a high pigmentation, so the recipe I found best is:

1 teaspoon of Coconut Oil

1 Whole Crayon

**You can actually use shea butter as well. If you want to do that, the recipe is

1/2 teaspoon of Coconut Oil

1/2 teaspoon of Shea Butter

1 Whole Crayon

So I only made 4 different colors with this recipe, But overall I love them!

lipstick container

There is a plum, pink, copper, and orange. I did not film me making these or take pictures. However the process is very easy! Take a pan and fill it halfway with water. Then take a small heat safe container, and put that in the middle of the pan. Now time to add the oil and crayon inside the small container. Make sure to take off the paper from the crayon first! It will melt quick, and when its done, put it in a container of your choice. and that’s it!

So now what you have been looking for, here are 4 pictures of the 4 different colors I have created :). Plum, pink, copper, and orange!

Overall, this cheap option creates some decent lipsticks. They go on very creamy, but I feel like after an hour or two, the wax in the crayons dries up and clumps up on my lips. The lipstick definitely smells like crayons, but maybe if you use the shea butter, it will help to get rid of the smell.

I have a YouTube video of me applying these lipsticks, and explaining more in detail my opinions on them. Here’s the link!

Thanks so much for reading! Please give me some love on my on my YouTube channel/video in the link above. It is a new channel and I would love some feedback from you guys. thanks :)

DIY Lip Scrub to Smoothen and Plump

So if you’re anything like me, you love to naturally enhance your natural beauty. If you feel like your lips are a little too small or dull, and are constantly chapped/peeling, this post is for you!

The way this recipe works to plump your lips, is it causes more blood to flow through your lips from the stimulation of toothbrush bristles. Also, the bristles, along with the sugar help to exfoliate all the dead skin from your lips. The Vaseline and lip balm will retain moisture and protect your lips from outdoor climates. All this together keeps your lips healthy, plump, and extremely soft!

This lip scrub recipe is made out of things that are guaranteed to already be in your house.

What you will need is:
2 teaspoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of Vaseline
1 teaspoon of olive oil (or coconut, argan, etc)
1 teaspoon of your favorite lip balm
An empty container with a lid
A toothbrush

Mix it all together, until you get a thick exfoliating mixture. I couldn’t find a container I liked, so I used a contact case:)

Take a glob of the mixture on your toothbrush (use a seperate toothbrush than your daily one!) and start to rub it into your lips in circular motions. Do that for about two minutes, and it will give you a great tingly sensation :).

Do this a few times a week, and you (and your significant other :p) will not get tired of licking your new smackers!

Makeup Forever – Smoky Extravagant

2015/01/img_7436.jpg

I got this sample size of makeup forever’s smoky extravagant mascara through an online Sephora order :). I don’t usually wear mascara, because I actually wear glasses, but if I let it dry enough, it doesn’t smudge too much on my glasses. It’s worth it right? :p

I love the applicator brush on this! The shape really extended my lashes quick enough so that I didn’t have to add a ton of coats. It looks very natural as well. I’m not sure the price on this product, but you can probably get the sample size like I did from ordering online, or just asking in store.

I didn’t have any problems with the mascara smudging, or getting all over the place when I blink. It’s not waterproof, but the good part about that is it’s easy to remove at night.

This is my first Makeup Forever item, and it was good enough for me to start looking at their products. Thanks for reading! ūüíč

Sleek i-Divine Palettes

I love getting makeup. I love it even more when they arrive a month earlier than expected. And that’s exactly what happened to me with these palettes! I got them in the mail today. but wasn’t supposed to get them until about February 22nd. They come from the UK, so if you plan on purchasing any sleek products soon, expect to wait. or maybe you will get lucky¬†like me and get them¬†as a surprise super early!

So the palettes I got today were the Oh So Special, and the Sunset palette. the packaging is a little smaller than I thought, but I like it because I originally bought these palettes because they were small enough to be carried around. They are about the length of your hand, and super lightweight. The packaging also feels very secure. But the plastic catches dirt and makeup a lot so I already kept getting mine dirty :P.

IMG_7341IMG_7355

So let’s start with the Oh So Special palette. Very beautiful, neutral, smoky colors. There’s a mix of shimmers and mattes. Shimmers being organza, gift basket, glitz, celebrate, and gateau. The mattes are bow, ribbon, pamper, boxed, wrapped up, and¬†noir. I’m a matte gal, so this was a big deal to me to have a palette that was so versatile with the colors, and could¬†double as a day/evening palette. Left pic is top row of palette, and right pic is bottom row.

Next is the Sunset palette. My favorite :).  All the colors are shimmers, except for the matte black. These colors are just so amazing. Vibrant, rich, and would go good with any eye color. I actually think that these colors glide on better than the Oh So Special palette shadows do. Probably just because this palette is shimmery, and shimmers go on a lot easier than matte shadows. Mostly because matte shadows can be more dry than others.  Left pic is top row, right pic is bottom.

Overall, I love these palettes and will definitely be purchasing from Sleek again. This is my first Sleek purchase, and I’m so¬† glad it was a good experience. Let me know of your favorite Sleek palettes or other products :). Thanks for reading!

NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder

nyx eyebrow kit

Hey beauties! So I’ve recently bought myself my very first eyebrow kit. Naturally, my brows are very dark colored and a little thick, so I never needed a brow kit before. However, I’ve noticed that my brows are a little bit unevenly shaped, so I got this powder brow kit to do a little bit of tweaking. I love it! It looks very natural and matches my hair color perfectly. There are a few colors, but I got brunette. I wouldn’t recommend this for people who need a lot of filling in or precise shaping for their brows. The applicator is not too precise, and for shaping brows, its better to use a pencil or gel/cream. But if you need to darken up the brows, or do some slight shaping, I would definitely recommend this product. I got it at target for $3!
