Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 Palette

Hello my friends :). I hope you all had an amazing spring break! And for the spring time, I would like to bring back those bright neon colors in your makeup routine.

Here is a review of my Sleek ultra mattes V1 palette. It is also basically a first impression since I literally just opened this package and tried it out :).

I will show yall some swatches, and then show you a list of my pros and cons. :)

All matte shades..(I double checked :p)

Here is a light blue, light red, purple, green, light red/pink, and yellow

Here is a light green, dark blue, orange, and the last three are hard to see, but they are a light pink, silver, and white.

PROS:

Blend smoothly and feel soft despite being matte shadows

Very affordable ($12.49)

Compact case perfect for travelling

Great pigmentation

Can create a lot of looks with these colors

Comes with a mirror

Mattes are great for hooded lids

CONS:

The pink and silver are the least pigmented

There are two shadows that seem almost identical (the red/pink colors)

You must use a white primer/base to get the full color payoff

There are no neutral colors for transition colors or to create smoky looks and daytime looks

Overall, I love this palette, and it reminds me of the sugar pill palettes (burning heart, heart breaker, sweetheart) .

Coastal Scents 42 Double Stack Matte Palette

Hello again everyone! Excited for spring break?! I hope you all have some fun things planned, because I sure don’t haha! Anyway, I thought I would review this Coastal Scents matte palette that I am obsessed with using right now.

It’s called a 42 Double Stack palette because it has two palettes stacked on top of eachother. 32 eyeshadows and 10 blushes. It was $24 on the coastal scents website when I bought it, but coastal scents have frequent sales on their website.

I wanted this palette in the first place because I found it to be a great dupe for the Sugar Pill palettes (burning heart, sweetheart, heart breaker).

First off, this is supposed to be a matte palette. However…I can see about 4 shades with a tad bit of shimmer in them. But honestly, it is not enough to even notice on the lid. Only 3 blushes are matte (last two on bottom row, and 3rd on top row).

Some shades are smoother than others. A lot feel a little dry, which is bound to happen when you have matte shades. I noticed that the bottom row has the most pigmented shadows, and the top row is the least pigmented. The white and pinks are the least pigmented, and require a lot of packing on to get any color payoff…even with a white base and primer.

Here are the swatches of each row, and the last picture is the swatches for the blushes. They are hard to see, especially the first two, but they are very blendable and smooth :)

Here are the 10 blushes. The first two on the top are very hard to see.

Pros:

Great color selection

Affordable

Compact case that holds a lot of product

Good color payoff for a palette of this price

Cons:

Some colors are less pigmented than others

The palette has a little bit of a chemical smell

The brushes it comes with are crappy

No mirror on the inside

JLB Cosmetics Nail Lacquer

I think I have stumbled upon my ultimate favorite nail polish! I vaguely remember hearing about JLB Cosmetics before, but maybe they are more well known than I think.

Anyway! I found this beauty at the bottom of my basket of nail polishes. It applied sooo smoothly, and dried super quick. I had to put a few coats on though, because it was a little transparent with just one coat.

Lastly, I slapped a top coat on these babies, and voila! There’s not a name for this color. Except on the bottom it says 16. So maybe JLB names their lacquers with numbers.

Keep your eyes peeled for any JLB Cosmetics nail lacquers. They are a dream for the people who use their hands a lot, but still want them to look beautiful at the end of the day!

bh Party Girl: After Hours Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hey Beauties :). I just received my new Party Girl-After Hours Palette. Got this by mistake bc Amazon sent me the wrong palette. I actually ordered the Party Girl palette, which has 8 extra shades, so I was a little upset I missed out on those extras, but I’m not going to return this one bc I actually like it :).

party girl 1party girl 3

The packaging is cardboard, and has a mirror on the inside. it comes with 32 shades, which includes 4 diamond shades in the center that are full of shimmer. There are 16 matte, and 16 shimmer, so its literally half and half!

This palette is full of cool tones. Lots of purples and blues. I love this palette for my green eyes because of the purples.

The Pigmentation is great in this palette. But its almost necessary to use a primer and/or white base to get the full color payoff. The diamond shades are actually the least pigmented, which is disappointing because I was really looking forward to that red.

Here are the swatches!

These swatches are without primer or a white base.

But I did create this look using this palette :)

This palette runs about $18, but bh cosmetics usually has sales going on on their website.

I hope you enjoyed this review! Theres a link to my youtube video of this review below. Thank you so much for reading :)

Red Cherry Eyelashes #523

Hey guys! So I have finally hopped on the bandwagon and bought myself my first pair of false eyelashes. Is it weird that I was incredibly intimidated to put these on? Thinking of all possible worst scenarios that could happen like getting glue in my eye, or them falling off while talking to someone. It just made me nervous. But I did it, and I made sure I got the best in the business.

I always see a lot of great things about Red Cherry lashes. 100% human hair, very affordable, and they have sooooo many to choose from. I got the #523 in black. It did not come with glue, but that’s ok bc I wanted to get the Duo lash glue. I recommend buying this instead of using the glue they give you.

So, I’ve attached some before and after pics! I hoped of helped you in decided the lashes that you want, or to try Red Cherry lashes!
PS: it wasn’t that bad putting them on for the first time. Although, they are a bit uneven haha. Practice makes perfect!

Gelatin Pore Strips/Face Mask

Hey Beauties! So, recently I have discovered an affordable option that is very similar to Biore Strips. Biore strips are very popular to get rid of those pesky blackheads, and all the other crud clogging our pores. If you have ever purchased Biore strips before, you will know that they can get a little pricey. So, I have a very affordable option that will work just as good!

You can use this method as a whole face mask, or use it in a localized area (nose, chin etc) to create a pore strip. This is going to be a peel off mask. But remember, beauty is pain!

gelatin mask1

Ingredients for a Full Face Mask:

1 Tablespoon (1 packet) Unflavored Gelatin

1 1/2 Tablespoon Milk

**Since unflavored gelatin comes in packages of 1 Tablespoon, it is ideal for a face mask. But if you only want to treat a small area, just half the recipe. If you use the recipe above for a pore strip, you will have a TON left over.

Ingredients for a Pore Strip:

1/2 Tablespoon (half a packet) Unflavored Gelatin

3/4 Tablespoon Milk

To make it, all you have to do is just mix those two ingredients together, so that it looks like this:

gelatin mask2

Then pop it in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds. When it comes out, stir it good so it can cool down and won’t burn your face. But hurry and apply it once it has cooled because it hardens to a silicone texture very quickly!

Now time to put it on our face! CAUTION- It does stink a little haha

gelatin mask3

If you applied a thin layer, leave on for about 10 minutes. If its a thicker layer, 20 minutes should work. Just make sure it is dried all the way. Unless it won’t work.

It will hurt a little! But afterwards, we can do what girls do and grossly study all the stuff we just pulled out of our skin :). I hope this has helped you. Check out the link below for my YouTube video associated with this blog post.

Thanks everyone!!

Homemade Crayon Lipstick

Hey everyone! So I made these lipsticks a while back, but I wanted to try them out for a little bit before I made a review about them. So there is only two ingredients to make these lipsticks! The only thing is, this process is purely Trial and Error to get the finish of lipstick that you want. I wanted a high pigmentation, so the recipe I found best is:

1 teaspoon of Coconut Oil

1 Whole Crayon

**You can actually use shea butter as well. If you want to do that, the recipe is

1/2 teaspoon of Coconut Oil

1/2 teaspoon of Shea Butter

1 Whole Crayon

So I only made 4 different colors with this recipe, But overall I love them!

lipstick container

There is a plum, pink, copper, and orange. I did not film me making these or take pictures. However the process is very easy! Take a pan and fill it halfway with water. Then take a small heat safe container, and put that in the middle of the pan. Now time to add the oil and crayon inside the small container. Make sure to take off the paper from the crayon first! It will melt quick, and when its done, put it in a container of your choice. and that’s it!

crayon-pan-kitchen

So now what you have been looking for, here are 4 pictures of the 4 different colors I have created :). Plum, pink, copper, and orange!

plum lippink lipcopper liporange lip

Overall, this cheap option creates some decent lipsticks. They go on very creamy, but I feel like after an hour or two, the wax in the crayons dries up and clumps up on my lips. The lipstick definitely smells like crayons, but maybe if you use the shea butter, it will help to get rid of the smell.

I have a YouTube video of me applying these lipsticks, and explaining more in detail my opinions on them. Here’s the link!

Thanks so much for reading! Please give me some love on my on my YouTube channel/video in the link above. It is a new channel and I would love some feedback from you guys. thanks :)
